Fausto Roma was born in Ceccano (Fr) in 1955, he makes his studies in Artistic Secondary School and the Academy of Arts of Frosinone.
From the 1977 he works as painter and sculptor. The constant that characterize his job from the beginning is the resource to the symbol, if it is preferred, to the assumed symbolic value of the signs, interpreters of sensorial experiences. The artist translate the shapes in images entrusted to the painting, to the possibility to make, on the surface of the painting, the space equipped by signs and colors.
The passage from the attention for the surface is gradual, to find the discovery of the object as the "imaginative body" in the space, as a fantastic architecture. From the half of 90's, he begins to make the sculpture-architectures, taking as model the totemic shape. In such sense meaningful work is "the Tree of the Peace" realized in Frosinone for the coming of the Pope Giovanni Paolo II.
So much are the extensions realized from the artist in the course of the years as in Italy as in other country, the most recent made in Germany and in United States.
In 2005 he made and exposition in Rome at “Horti Sallustiani”. In April 2005 his little Jewel- sculpture called “Eneide” was bring in the european Space Mission, on the space ship Soyuz 10s, by italian Astronaut Vittori.
